Meet Our Staff Team

Pastor Tim Swanson

Tim joined Foothills Community Church (FCC) as the Senior Pastor in July 2008. His passion is to thoroughly “challenge people to live as Christ lived and equip people for the work of (God’s) ministry.” His desire is to see each person embrace the authority of the Scriptures and salvation through Jesus Christ. Prior to his ministry at FCC, Tim was on the pastoral staff at First Baptist Church of Windsor as the Associate Pastor for 2 years and Pastor of Student Ministries for 5 ½ years. In addition, Tim served as the Student Ministries Director of Discipleship, Jr. High Ministry Director, and a Student Ministries Intern for First Baptist Church of Castro Valley until 2000. During his time at First Baptist Church of Castro Valley, Tim worked bi-vocationally, serving both in ministry and the corporate environment. His corporate experience includes working as a Staffing Manager and Regional Operations Auditor for a leading financial human resource firm as well as a background in technology and aviation-based sales/customer service. Tim holds a Master of Divinity degree in Theology from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. Then too, he has a B.S. in Business Administration with an option in Human Resource Management from California State University of Hayward (East Bay). His hobbies include spending time alone in God’s Word, going on dates with his wife, laughing with his children, sports, aviation, and reading political/biographical commentaries. Tim and his wife, Alisa, have been married since 1997 and have three children: Ashley, Trenton, and Tyler.

Dwayla Crandall

Our Church Administrator, Dwayla Crandall, has been at Foothills since 1994. Dwayla and her husband, Doug, have been married since 1982 and have three grown daughters, a grandson and three granddaughters. She oversees the administration of the church finances, facilities, working with the various ministry leaders, and all of the scheduling that takes place here at Foothills.

Jamie Crandall

Our Children and Families Director, Jamie Crandall, has been at Foothills since 1994. She was hired to be on staff in July of 2007. She heads up the KidZone program at Foothills. Jamie has a Bachelors Degree in Child Development and a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology. She has a passion for reaching children and their parents with the message of Christ and is so happy to be a part of the Foothills Staff.
